Six seminar tracks for adults and a programme for children and youth - running for 4 consecutive weeks:

Please arrive 10 mins early so you can find your seminar room. Seminars are available on a first-come first-served basis as some rooms have limited capacity. Each seminar track will have four consecutive studies - ideally attendees should not swap between tracks

1. From new birth to glory: the shape of our salvation

Matt Bownds - Triple Room
Words like faith, repentance and adoption are probably largely understood in churches, but other biblical words like justification, glorification, sanctification, regeneration, are probably less used and less understood. That's a shame because there is so much joy-inducing, God-glorifying truth packed into those words! On this Bible doctrine track we'll be considering how these words and ideas fit together, biblically speaking (what's been dubbed the 'order of salvation') and what that means for us in our Christian walk.

2. To Infinity and beyond: Getting to grips with the story of the whole Bible

Elspeth Pitt - Double Room
Sometimes parts of the Bible can seem a little bit intimidating, even for experienced Christians. In this series we will venture beyond the familiar and trace the story of the whole Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, discovering how it all finds its fulfilment in the person and work of Jesus. Tackling a section of bible history each week, we’ll see the development of God’s great purpose of salvation for the world and learn how to apply these truths in our lives more and more.

3. Finding your SHAPE: every member ministry

Michael Teutsch - Coffee Lounge
God has created each of His servants for a unique part to play in His Kingdom. As part of the local Body of Christ, in Highfields, your part is essential in the outworking of our ministry together. S.H.A.P.E. is a tool developed by Rick Warren for understanding more clearly your unique part. It looks at our Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Ability, Personality and Experience to enable you to more clearly understand the role God would have you play in Highfields. Join us at Equip and discover your SHAPE.

4. Practical parenting: applying scriptural principles to bringing up kids in 2018

Geoff Cresswell - Dalton Street
In these equip seminars you will be able to work through some core biblical principles in bringing up children and apply them to your own situation. You will learn from others, be encouraged that you are not alone or unique in the issues you face and take positive, practical steps to enrich your family life.

6. Brave new world: technology and social media

Dave Gobbett - Chapel
The developments in technology during the last thirty years have been mind-blowing. But how do we think it all through Christianly? Is God interested in our online presence on social media, our use of emojis or #hashtags? What are the dangers and opportunities of smart phones? And is it okay to own a selfie-stick?!

Youth (11+ year olds): #RETHINK

Jess Sanderson & Team - G.F Room
[Information from 2017 - awaiting updated info] We will be talking through some of the issues surrounding the topics of relationships, sex, dating with the emphasis on being equipped with Bible knowledge and wisdom to tackle the pressures at school, on social media and to try to live out God's will for us in these areas of life. We'll be in small groups and so each conversation can be tailored to the people in the group. In order for this to work well, please let us know you're coming.
