Coronavirus

The leadership wish to assure the members that we are working through procedures to manage any problems with the Coronavirus and Highfields
Coronavirus

Coronavirus Covid-19

Firstly, we would want to encourage everyone to find confidence in knowing that God is in control, even in such uncertainties as a virus. We must be wise, but we do not need to become fearful.

Secondly, we want to be wise in how to manage our lives together in Highfields. We are gathering a team of qualified members to consider what steps are needed and at what time. We will keep everyone informed.

Thirdly, we want to pray and care especially for the vulnerable within our congregation. As basic measures we would ask the following:

  1. Avoid handshakes and hugs. We are a friendly lot, but wisdom suggests avoiding these at the moment.
  2. Wash your hands thoroughly and often in the church.
  3. Use tissues for coughs and then please bin them. Signs reminding you of these measures will be posted around the church.

We recognise that some of our older members and those with health issues may choose not to come to the public services, and of course we support them in that decision. There is a streaming service for our morning services from today onwards which we hope will be helpful to enable everyone to feel part of our congregation even if they are not able to come.

Please also let us know if there are other ways in which we can help
