Summer Series - A sermon series for summer 2022

A sermon series for sunday mornings during August. This summer we are looking at a various passages. The middle two services focus on the letter to Hebrews, which was written to a persecuted people where the prevailing culture was not sympathetic to those who followed Jesus. There are two main themes in the letter:

The centrality of Christ and our need to persevere and hold fast to our faith. The two key words in the letter are Superior and Better. The author reflects that Jesus is superior to angels and the priesthood and we have a superior covenant. We also have a better hope, better promises, better sacrifice, better country, better resurrection and a better plan for our lives. The outcome should be we hold onto our courage and to the faith we profess and the hope that is offered to us in Jesus.
