If you feel like a bit of exercise now that Spring is on the way, why not come with us to the beautiful Gower peninsula on Saturday 22nd March and spend some time walking and chatting with other Highfields men!
We're planning an 8.7 mile circular walk around the western Gower, climbing the ridge above the breath taking Rhossili beach, crossing to the southern section of the coastal path by Mewslade and passing the remarkable Worm's Head. The walk itself will take about 3.5 hours with an additional 1 hour of stops. You don't have to be super fit, but there will be a small hill to climb.
Please note that all participants must be 18 years and above. Registration for participation will close at 5pm on the Friday before the hike.
In order to join us you will need to complete a registration form (you can't just turn up on the day) so we have details for those participating. On registration please indicate if you are will to offer lift-share, or if you require transport.
Meet at church at 8am on 22nd March. Make sure to bring boots/shoes suitable for muddy ground, waterproofs (it is Wales!!), drink, snacks and a packed lunch. Matthew Jubb and James Challinor will be leading the walk but all those going will be responsible for their own wellbeing on the day so please make sure you've looked at the route and are comfortable with the level of difficulty.
You can preview the route including a 3D flyover on Outdooractive recorded from the test walk last month on 22 Feb:
You can also see some photos of the route taken on 22nd Feb.
