Former Premier League Footballer Gavin Peacock will be talking more about his faith and the central message of Christianity at Highfields Church Pontprennau on Sunday 5th October.
For almost 20 years, Gavin Peacock lived the dream as a professional footballer, following in his father's footsteps. He played more than 100 times for both Newcastle United and Chelsea, memorably hitting the bar with a spectacular shot in the 1994 FA Cup final against Manchester United. When he retired from playing in 2002, he enjoyed a successful career as a broadcaster, becoming one of the most respected pundits on the BBC's Match of the Day and Football Focus. But after commentating on Euro 2008, he made a dramatic change of career, moving to Canada to train as a Christian minister. Read more ...
