Highfields Church Day Away

Engage, our annual church day away, is back again with a new focus to our theme of God's family: Praying as God's Family

The vision of Engage is to help us grow as God’s community, deepening relationships, welcoming newcomers and living together as God's family in light of the gospel. It’s a day full of excellent bible teaching, opportunities for fun and a chance to get to know other people in our church family better.

We’re delighted that Jonathan Thomas will be our main speaker. Jonathan Thomas got married in Highfields to Rebecca, who worked for the church, with whom he now has 3 boys. Jonathan grew up in West Wales and served as a UCCF worker in Aberystwyth and Cardiff, before becoming the Pastor of Ammanford Evangelical Church for over 10 years. 

Jonathan is now the Pastor of Cornerstone Church in Abergavenny and the Pastoral Dean of Union School of Theology. When he has time he likes to read, drink coffee and ride his bike (not at the same time).
