Understanding Jesus

A Weekend of Challenge with Prof. Peter S. Williams

It's the job of Christians to present Christ to a watching world, to share the Good News of his kingdom, communicate his redeeming love - and accurately represent Him to those around us who do not know Him.

Increasingly, this role presents more and more challenges as ignorance and misinformation abound. Fifty, or even twenty years ago there were commonly accepted facts that you might have depended upon when seeking to have a meaningful conversation about the claims of Christ - but this is no longer the case.

So, we've put together a brilliant weekend to help equip you for Christian witness, and to enable you to invite friends. At the centre of it is Peter Williams, the philosopher, writer and public speaker. This is not a weekend for 'experts' but rather for anyone who is serious about sharing their faith in the risen Lord Jesus.

The component parts of what promised to be a really useful weekend:

Book Review

Understanding JesusThis work is an invaluable tool for ordinary Christians, in helping to reinforce the intellectual underpinnings of biblical faith in Christ. It will also be a challenging read for agnostics who are prepared to interact with the historic data with an enquiring mind.
