Knowing God
In May 2013, on Sunday evenings, we’re going to take time out to do one of the most important things a human being can do – consider God.
What we think about God radically shapes how we see ourselves, our world and our destiny.
As Christians we believe that whilst we see something of God’s grandeur in creation, the clearest revelation he has given us is in his Word. When we contemplate the God of the Bible our minds are simultaneously humbled and expanded.
Although our mini-series is based on Old Testament texts they will point us inevitably forward to the ultimate revelation of God in the Word made flesh. And of course we are aiming at more than knowing about God – we want to know God himself, knowing more of his transforming presence in our lives and in our church.
For, according to Daniel, it is the people who know their God who will do great things.
