Words to the Wise

Studies in Matthew

In a world of millions of words, wisdom can be in short supply, so it's good to be able to listen to the sayings of the One who was wiser than Solomon.

In his parables, Jesus opens a window into the nature of the Kingdom of Heaven. Proverbs and illustrations from daily life are brought together in some of the most memorable sermons ever preached.

But the paradox of a parable is that to those who can already see, vision is increased; but to those who refuse to see, vision is narrowed.

The challenge of this sermon series then, is to listen with the eyes of a humble heart, open to the truth of God in Jesus.
