Christmas at Highfields
There's much to celebrate at this time even in a difficult economic climate - the blessing of life itself, the enjoyment of family and friends, the network of relationships within work and community that can give us meaning and purpose.
However, the thing that makes Christmas really special is the amazing storyline behind many of our festive traditions - that God came to earth in Jesus of Nazareth, so that through his life, death and resurrection, the world might be changed for good. Believe it or not, that's what the first Christmas was all about and it remains the message to which a church like Highfields is enthusiastically committed.
