Simply the Best
Studies in Hebrews 4-10
On Sundays during the winter and spring of 2025 we are continuing studying the Letter to the Hebrews through the sermon series entitled: Simply the Best - Studies in Hebrews 4-10.
Chapters 4 to 10, delve deep into the themes of faith, rest, priesthood, and sacrifice, drawing powerful connections between the Old Testament practices and the new covenant established through Jesus Christ. These chapters describe Jesus' role as a high priest, emphasizing that His priesthood is eternal and superior to the Levitical priesthood because He is sinless and His priesthood is based on the power of an indestructible life.
It introduces a new covenant established through Jesus, which is superior to the old covenant because it offers complete and eternal redemption. The earthly sanctuary and sacrifices are depicted as mere copies of the heavenly realities, with Jesus serving as the mediator of this new covenant.
