Crèche & 3-4’s Sunday School

Where the pre-school children go to be looked after and learn about God on a Sunday morning

Time marches on and another year has passed and the crèche continues to flourish. Life below stairs continues in its own way, and there are still around ~25 pre-schoolers every Sunday morning covering two services.

Highfields is enjoying a baby boom at the moment. I always find it a tremendous encouragement to see so many young children coming through our doors. The first service remains the busiest, with toddlers and babies gathering in the Triple Room and with the class meeting in the Double Room. Forgive me but I can never recall their official names for these rooms.

Our 2nd Service crèche has always been the smaller of the two groups (averaging less than 5 children each Sunday). Since babies/toddlers tend to be up early, they are most likely to be brought to the 1st Service. Numbers tend to fluctuate, and can be difficult to predict.

As ever, we are indebted to all our teachers and helpers, without whom our church services would be radically different! Our grateful thanks to everyone involved on the rota for their time and commitment. Please remember our Teachers and Helpers. It can be dis-heartening to prepare teaching material, and find no-one to deliver it to.

Just a quick note for those on the rotas: Should you not be able to cover a particular date, then please remember to swap your week with someone else, rather than just hoping and trusting that it will be covered. That would truly help out all involved a great deal. To help you, a contact list is distributed with each new rota.
