The Society We Live In

There is an undercurrent of feeling in many churches these days that we have no right to interfere in the affairs of other countries or to persuade people of other faiths to consider the significance of the person of Jesus.
Whilst some of this hesitation is understandably linked to the embarrassment we rightly feel about our western colonial past it has led to an undermining of the legitimacy of the unique claims of Jesus Christ. This has meant an erosion of confidence in the missionary task of the church. What should our response be to the popular view that all religions lead to God?
On March 23rd we have a Missions Sunday when David Bhakiaraj will be speaking in the morning. David is a Christian from India working among diverse ethnic groups in Cardiff. In Facethebook in the evening we will consider the question of Pluralism in more depth when a panel of our own mission partners will answer questions after a short introductory talk.
Come and join us on the 23rd March and be part of this important conversation.
