Paul Bendor-Samuel was brought up in Brazil and West Africa where his parents worked with Wycliffe Bible Translators. He went to medical school in Cardiff, Wales, where he met his wife Liz. They both trained as Family doctors. In 1990 they moved to North Africa where they served for 12 years with their four sons in a Christian development organisation. Initially involved in primary health, Paul spent 7 years as General Director (1995-2002). During this period they saw the range of projects broaden to include health, disability service, support for abandoned mothers and children and rural development. In 2002 they returned to the UK for a sabbatical. Liz retrained as a professional Counselor. In September 2003 Paul was appointed International Director to Interserve and worked with the, until 2015. While with Interserve Paul traveled extensively, helping Christian leaders make sense of the world around them and what God is doing.
Ted Pilling and Linda Pilling have been working with Navigators for many years, latterly leading the International Missions Department.
They are based in Cardiff but have now been seconded by Navigators to the staff of Redcliffe College in Gloucester where they help prepare cross cultural workers for a variety of different assignments in Christian mission.
Listen or watch the talks from any of the services on the 6th March and hear what Paul and Ted have to bring to us.
