Two suggestions

A recent blog post shared in the office which has got us talking is called How to talk to strangers, a brilliant load of suggestions about how to get chatting with someone after Sunday services. Well worth reading.
And if you’re beginning to think about what Bible reading material you might use in 2018 (New Year’s resolutions and all that) can I recommend again this excellent Bible in a year plan. I’ve found it a massive encouragement in 2017 (you only read 5 days per week, meaning its easier to catch up!)
In my quiet time recently I read a stunning prophecy from the book of Zechariah, ch 9:16-17.
The LORD their God will save his people on that day as a shepherd saves his flock. They will sparkle in his land like jewels in a crown. How attractive and beautiful they will be!
What a stunning thought this Christmas season - that in the new covenant, God’s redeemed people - fallen, bruised yet forgiven - will be as magnificent in God’s eyes as the Crown Jewels!
All that remains for me to do is wish you and yours a very Happy Christmas and blessed 2018.
